Saturday Morning Bible Studies for Adults

Sabbath School is an important part of building community and growing together through God's Word! It has at the heart of its mission to create communities of disciple-makers with a passion for God, People and Service.

Copies of the Quarterly Study guides are available in the classroom that uses them, on a first come first served basis. Come by the Ministry Workroom/Room 13 (except between 10AM to 11AM) if needing a large print copy, also available on a first come first served basis. You may also opt to download your own copy.

    The adult groups gather at 10:00AM or 11:00AM and here are their descriptions. Feel free to join one that best suits your needs and schedule. For further information, write to: discipleship@forestlakechurch.org or contact the Church Office via: (407) 869-0680.


    Room 2: Marion Kidder/Micheal Lay

    10AM to 11AM

    Our friendly class uses the Adult Quarterly Study Guide plus theological exploration and current issues, as a basis for discussion.

    We enjoy getting together for social activities which include fellowship and potluck meals.


    Room 3: Vann Camp/Priscilla Lynn/ Hubert Moog

    10AM to 11AM

    Our class is serious about being faithful to the Bible, Spirit of Prophecy and Adult Quarterly Study Guide, as well as exploring how the study applies to our lives tday. There is a lot of discussion, fellowship, vestper programs, open house socials and ministry of visitation.


    Room 4: Steve Gaul/Alan Jones/Dale LInd/ Sam Vasquez

    10AM to 11AM

    We are a gathering of friends adn guests who meet to share our learning and encouragement in Jesus Christ. Each person with their thoughts and feelings, is held in the hightest regard. WE laugh a lot and enjoy bein together in Christ.

    Outreach Project: Frontier Ministries, love offerings, as the Spirit guides, and needs arise.


    Room 5: Tom Emde/GEorge Guthrie/Mike Wood

    10AM to 11AM

    All are welcome to this discussion-friendly class. Our study is based on, but not limited to, the Adult Quarterly Study Guide.

    We are a multi-cultural mix of mainstream Adventists. Our fellowship is impotant and enhanced by a ten-minute preliminary time for prayer, sharing and discussion of group projects.

    Our group also has regularly scheduled social activities throughtou the year-picnics, beach and bike outings, Christmas party and group outreach projects.

    Outreach Project: We actively support the various mijnistries at Forest Lake as well as work with special needs projects as they arise.


    We are a friendly group that encourages discussion and differing opinions while exploring various avenues of designated lesson study.

    The first minutes is devoted to personal interaction. We use, but are not limited to the Adult Quarterly Study Guide as a springboard for practival application in the Christian life.

    We enjoy a variety of teachers and teaching styles. We welcome guests, enjoy group projects adn have several community-building social functions during the year.

    Our name is Bridge Builders because we acknowledge the bridges we have traveled over in the past to where we are today, and we are confident that through vision and fellowship we can build bridges to tomorrow.

    Outreach Project: The generous "happy dollar" contributions of our members have funded numerous life-changing projects in addition to ones associated with Forest Lake Education, Forest Lake Academy and Missions.


    Room 8: Wanda Hopkins/Larry Stephens

    10AM to 11AM

    Our Bible based group diligently searches for answers, using the Adult and Collegiate Quarterly Study Guides.

    Outreach Project: Currently helping Student Missionaries


    Room 9: Gen NeXt

    10AM to 11AM

    We are people wanting to be disciples of Jesus Christ with the goal of sharing the Word with our loved ones, children, neighbors and those whom the Spirit leads us to reach out to. We generally follow the Adult Quarterly lesson outlines.


    Room 13: Charles Morgan/Steve Patrick

    10AM to 11AM

    We are fellowship oriented, welcome visitors and are highly participative. We use the Adult Quarterly Study Guide in our discussion of biblical themes and we attempt to realte them to life situations.

    We enjoy social activities and are great at organizing potluck dinners!

    Outreach Projects: We provide "Happy Dollars" to fund mission activity locally and abroad.


    Senior Pastor's Office: Les McCoy & Co.

    10AM to 11AM

    We are a down to earth and welcoming bunch who encourages throught-provoking discussion, practical Christianity and discipleship. We seek to bring to life the Adult Quaterly themes into our daily lives and relationships.

    Outreach Project: Friendship and building community.


    Gift and Thrift Building: Michael Gordon/Marti Jones

    10AM to 11AM

    All are welcome to this multi-generational group that participates in a lively discussion based on the Adult Quaterly Study Guide with emphasis on daily life application.

    We particularly accomodate parents dropping off their children or having to leave early to pick them up. Late arrivals are welcome!

    We also encourage visitors to attend our study group. We enjoy getting together as a class for group outings and activities.


    Forest Lake Academy Band Room: Don Williams & Co.

    10AM to 11AM

    We are a multi-cultural mix of mainstream Adventists with strong discussion facilitators who encourage sharing and thorught-provokign exchanges. We follow the Adult Quarterly Study Guide.

    There is meaningful fellowship through various social activities and outreach projects.

    Room 2: New Beginnings

    11:20am to 12:20pm

    Visitors, New Members and long-standing members are ivited to join us as we seek a closer walk with Jesus throught Christ-centered, discipleship-focused doctrinal study of the Word of God.

    Outreach Project: We encourage friends and family to study the Bible and to equip and empower disciples for ministry according to their passion and spiritual gifts.


    Room 3: Friendship Circle

    11:20am to 12:20pm

    We follow the Adult Quarterly Study Guide and also enjoy a "caring and sharing" time when we can be supportive of each other in our parenting or other day to day challenges and joys.


    Room 5: Word of Hope

    11:20am to 12:20pm

    Young adults, couples without kids and single adults ofen gravitate toward our group and bond easily, thanks to our emphasis on making friends, praying together and serving our community. We select Biblical themes yearly with the goals of increasing our understanding of the mesage of Christ and preparing for His soon coming. We hope you'll join us for our study and for our monthly potluck.


    Room 6: Greg Ellis/Ted Hamilton/Loren Hauck/Terry Shaw

    11:20am to 12:20pm

    We focus on Biblical themes and how to apply these to daily living. THe discussionis real and direct. Exploration and new ways of thinking are encouraged, so are friendships and praying for one another!


    Room 8: Francisco Lizardo/Titus Vanessa (SPANISH SPEAKING)

    11:20am TO 12:20pm

    While this class is perfect for those whose mother tongue is Spanish, all are welcome...

    especially if you wish to learn a new language. We will follow the Adult Quaterly themes and material. Spanish guides will be provided on a first come basis.
